The Importance of SSAIB Registration
For our clients it is important to know that any temporary alarm solutions are installed in a way which not only protects their property but that the equipment and installation is of a high standard.
To give peace of mind over our alarm equipment and installation methods we are certified by the independent SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) for Vacant Property Alarm Systems.
This certification independently assesses that we are using the correct industry standard equipment, have the correct installation procedures in place and that our records and management of the systems is to a high standard.
Some of the elements in place which allow certification by the SSAIB include:
- Installing the systems to “Enhanced” standard
- Using a NSI Gold 24/7 monitoring company
- Ensuring that relevant personnel have been security screened to British Standard
- Verifying that relevant personnel are competent and experienced in electronic security
- Checking that we have the correct insurance cover including efficacy insurance
- Our premises have to be adequate for security of documentation, records and site keys
- Identity cards are carried by relevant staff
- Documented site information, alarm system specification and site information produced and made available to other authorised parties
When asked to help protect a void property, we ensure that we work with and alongside all the other parties involved to ensure good lines of communication exist, and best practice standards are maintained.
